Reservation & Payment

Fern & Fiction retreats require full payment at the time of booking to secure your spot.

Your space is not reserved until payment is received.

Payments are processed securely through our website and are payable by

credit/debit card.
Cancellation Policy (Participant-Initiated)
Because our retreats are intentionally small and each spot is significant, we use the following cancellation policy:

Within 24 hours of booking:
-
Full refund, no questions asked.

Up to 60 days before the retreat:
-
You may cancel for a 50% refund OR receive a full credit toward a future retreat.

30–59 days before the retreat:
-
You may cancel for a 25% refund OR receive a 50% credit toward a future retreat.

Within 30 days of the retreat:

Payments are non-refundable as we are unable to refill your spot on short notice.

Transfer your spot:

You may transfer your reservation to another person at no cost, as long as you notify us in writing.
Cancellation by Fern & Fiction
If Fern & Fiction must cancel or significantly modify a retreat due to low enrollment, venue issues, or unforeseen circumstances:

You will receive a full refund of all payments made.

We cannot reimburse travel expenses or personal insurance; travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Travel & Personal Insurance
We strongly encourage participants to purchase:

Trip cancellation insurance

Travel/medical insurance
This protects you in case of illness, emergencies, or unforeseen travel issues.
Health & Participation
By booking, you confirm that you can comfortably participate in light outdoor activities (e.g., walking paths, sitting outdoors). Please notify us of any accessibility needs so we can support you.
Code of Conduct
Fern & Fiction maintains a quiet, respectful, inclusive environment. Participants agree to:

Treat others with kindness and respect

Honor quiet reading spaces

Refrain from disruptive or harmful behavior
Violation of this policy may result in removal without refund.
Photography & Media
We do not photograph participants without permission. If you opt in, photos may be used for Fern & Fiction promotional materials. Opting in or out will not affect your retreat experience.
